Baby Shower

Valorie threw Chance and I a baby shower, and I must say parties or her forte! The decorations and food were amazing. Do you know to add cucumber to your lemon water? Try it!

Whats a baby shower with... diaper smelling? Val, suceeded in finding unique games that brought a smile to our "we hate baby shower games" faces!

And whats a party without good friends and family?
What a great time had by all, and how fortunate we are to celebrate this new life with the love and support of so many people.

Big Brother

What an amazing big brother Joe is. Day by day I am amazed at the love he continues to show Chance. He never seems jealous that Chance takes so much of Mommy's time.
He is always full of kisses for "baby". And although only cares to hold him for a few short seconds these days, he at least cares to hold him every day.

As a mother I couldn't be more proud to see what a remarkable young man Joey is becoming and so blessed to have him in my family. His place is well picked as the oldest child and I know that he will provide years of love and protection to his siblings now and any more that might come his way.

Big Brother

Joey is extremely excited to have a big brother. In fact the first week home was almost a constant fight on who got to hold "baby". He generally won, only allowing me a turn for feeding.
At very first however Joe onyl found pleasure in looking, but was very aprehensive about touching. That is until Grandma got ahold of "his" baby. Then he was very much about holding Chance.

What a wonderful family I have.

Chance

After starting labor at 5:30 AM, Chance was born at 3:31 PM.

He was 7 lbs 5 oz at birth, 7.3 at three days old, 7.7 at 7 days, and 7.12 at 10. And yes this boy sure can eat! He was also 20 inches long at birth, this is only slightly smaller than Joe at birth who was 7.7 and 21 in. I make some perfect sized babies.

After a delivery with virtually no problems, there was meconium in my water, so imediately after delivery Chace was suctioned before being allowed to take his first breath. This is not uncommon and not very scary as we knew about the meconium hours before his birth and I was fully prepared. AHowever it does slightly break your heart to have him across the room and not in your arms immediately following delivery.

All in all things went extremely well, and it was a very wonderful (and painful) experience.

Welcome

Well I suppose with all our family changes I should really try to keep up on my blog. After 9 long, tiring, sickening, and amazingly wonderful months

We would like to announce the birth of Chance Jeremiah-Nicholas Bezzone
